Noir Indigo – Fringed Ajrakh Bandhej Lagdi Patta Dupatta

4,250.00

Unpressed on purpose to maintain it’s lush depth and texture from Bandhej hand-knotting, this dupatta represents the crafts Bandhej (hand-knotting and tie dyeing) and Ajrakh (handblock printing with handcrafted woodblocks) of Kutch, India. The bandhini pattern is interspersed with globes of Ajrakh, and it’s conversational element is a decadently glistening tissue border with a mischievous fringe detail. Although this is a dupatta (slightly wider than the typical 36″ dupatta, this is more like an odhani), I love to style this like one would wear a shawl, to flaunt it’s details. Also works as an elegant wrap over a sleek black dress on a night about town. This is Indian textiles for your villain era. 😉
